The client, a fast-growing company in the electronic industry starting to implement its strategic manufacturing footprint in Mexico in late 2019, with a clear target operation date set of the 3rdquarter 2020. When COVID-19 hit first in China and later in North America, it was no longer possible to travel from China to Mexico to the industrial parks and evaluate the site in-person.
Despite the pandemic, the target date remained unchanged. Prodensa provided a local team with different capabilities acting as their own to ensure the project advanced according to the timeline. We understood the uncertainty- even anxiety- of making strategic decisions when it is not possible to be on-site to secure everything.

Pictures and drawings are not enough to decide on a strategic manufacturing location, so the Prodensa team coordinated virtual tours including surrounding areas to transmit key points. The live video and interaction allowed to the client to get the “feeling” even from halfway across the globe.
